Bloom

Bloom is a daytime restaurant and event space in Thebarton, Adelaide, set inside an old tram barn at 38 Winwood Street. The venue looks out towards the Karrawirra Parri and combines the character of the former industrial building with a garden setting shaded by gum trees. Its atmosphere is relaxed and social, with the restaurant describing its approach as simple, lighthearted and made for sharing.

The kitchen focuses on food cooked over coals, alongside coffee and a drinks list that includes Bottomless Bellinis. Breakfast is served until 11.30am, with lunch available from then, and the restaurant welcomes diners from Thursday to Monday. Bookings are recommended, although space is kept for walk-ins, particularly smaller groups. Friday evenings also bring a supper-time service, giving the venue a different rhythm from its daytime offering.

Bloom suits casual breakfasts, lunches and drinks, as well as larger gatherings. Groups of up to 14 can be seated for breakfast and up to 10 for lunch, while the Bloomin’ Banquet package caters for lunch groups of 11 to 30. The pergola, pavilion and garden are also available for weddings and functions, with the venue offering its fire-cooked food and drinks selection for events. It is a practical choice for a meal by the river setting, a shared group occasion or a garden-based celebration.
