Blue Gum Park (Park 20)

Blue Gum Park / Kurangga (Park 20) is a varied section of Adelaide’s National Heritage-listed Park Lands, bounded by South Terrace, Peacock Road, Greenhill Road and Unley Road. It suits a relaxed walk, a picnic or a more active day outdoors, with pathways, walking trails, cycling trails, picnic tables and barbecue facilities spread through the park.

The BMX tracks are a standout feature, with routes ranging from gentler beginner slopes to more challenging sections for experienced riders. Riders are encouraged to bring appropriate safety gear. The park also includes an aerial adventure park and tree climb experience to the west; participation fees apply for climbing, while spectators are welcome. Families and active groups can also make use of the Glover playspace, basketball ring, tennis and netball courts, sporting fields, athletics track with long jump pit and petanque piste.

Native vegetation, South Park Lands Creek, Blue Gums, River Red Gums and pathways lined with White Cedar Trees add variety to the open space. There is also a dog off-leash area, although dogs must remain under effective control and are not permitted off-leash within five metres of a playground or while organised sport is taking place. Blue Gum Park is open 24 hours a day, making it suitable for a daytime outing, a casual exercise session or a quiet walk through the Unley edge of Adelaide.
