Burnside Ballroom

Burnside Ballroom is a state heritage-listed events venue in Adelaide’s eastern suburbs, built in 1954 and managed by the City of Burnside. Its mid-century history and formal setting give it a distinctive character for occasions that call for more than a standard function room.

The grand ground floor centres on a spacious dancefloor, with bar areas downstairs and on the mezzanine. A raised stage, audio-visual equipment, booth seating and additional furniture allow the room to be adapted for different events, while a commercial kitchen is available for use. Powder rooms and cloak rooms add practical support for larger gatherings.

The venue is suited to performances, weddings and corporate functions, as well as other organised events. Performance organisers can also enquire about booking the Corner Room as a green room, subject to availability; it is conveniently positioned behind the stage.
