Chambers Gully Park

Chambers Gully Park in Norwood, Adelaide, is best experienced as part of a demanding 7.6-kilometre circuit linking Greenhill Recreation Park, Chambers Gully and nearby suburban streets. The route takes about two to three hours, is graded as a hard Grade 4 hike and includes steep terrain, so it suits walkers looking for a substantial outing rather than a casual stroll.

The walk begins at Langman Reserve, passing through the Langman Woodland picnic area before climbing steps to a lookout. From there, the route moves through streets in Greenhill and Burnside, then enters Greenhill Recreation Park via Gate 2. Fire tracks contour around the hills and climb towards a summit, where the trail provides views across the plains before descending towards Greenhill Road.

The latter section crosses into Cleland National Park through Gate 8 and follows the Kilto Loop Track downhill to the Chambers Gully Track and Burnside Quarry Track. The circuit finishes along the Waterfall Gully Road Walking Trail, returning to Langman Reserve.
