King Rodney Park (Park 15)

King Rodney Park / Ityamai-itpina (Park 15) is a versatile Adelaide Park Lands space between Bartels Road and Wakefield Road. It suits a range of outdoor plans, from a casual walk or cycle to a game on the sporting fields, basketball courts or tennis courts. There are also picnic tables, walking trails and an olive grove to explore.

Families can head to the Glover East playspace, while Botanic Creek offers another part of the park to discover. A temporary skate park adds a different option for active visitors. The park’s open mix of recreation areas and trails makes it suitable for solo visits, small groups and family time, without requiring a particular type of outing.

Park 15 also hosts major Adelaide events, including the Santos Tour Down Under and the Adelaide International 3 Day Event, so it can take on a busier role in the city’s event calendar. Dogs are permitted off leash in the designated area, provided they remain under effective control and are kept at least five metres from playgrounds or away when organised sport is being played. With its location in the Adelaide CBD and broad range of facilities, the park is a practical choice for getting outside in the city.
