Kutumba Lounge and Bar brings Nepalese cooking to King William Road in Unley, with a menu built around family recipes, traditional spices and popular street-food favourites. The kitchen covers a broad range of dishes, from momo and sekuwa to Thakali sets, curries, chow mein, fried rice, thukpa and bar snacks. There are also Asian favourites and options designed for younger diners, making the menu suitable for a varied group rather than only those already familiar with Nepalese food.

Momo is central to the Kutumba story, and it appears in several forms, including steamed, fried, half-steamed and half-fried kothe styles, jhol momo in sesame-tomato broth, and versions tossed in chilli or sadheko spices. Other notable choices include the Thakali sets, served with rice, daal, curry, achaar, greens, salad and papad, as well as smoky sekuwa and Newari-style choila. The menu also includes dishes such as Khasi Ko Khutti soup with momo, the Kutumba Mix Platter, Nepalese goat curry and a range of vegetarian curries. For sharing, the larger momo platters and mixed platter offer an easy way to try several flavours at the table.

The venue presents itself as a relaxed lounge and bar, with cocktails, mocktails, lassi and masala tea alongside the food. Its table-ordering system uses a QR code, allowing diners to browse, customise and place orders from their table, then pay at the counter. Kutumba is the Adelaide home of Party Time Nepal, a family-run brand whose journey began with catering in Canberra in 2021. The team later served Nepalese street food in Queanbeyan before bringing the same recipes and approach to Unley. The restaurant’s name means “family” in Nepali, reflecting its emphasis on warm hospitality and a shared-table feeling. For Adelaide diners, it offers a focused introduction to Nepalese cuisine, as well as a familiar, relaxed setting for returning to favourite dishes.
