Lefevre Park (Park 6)

Lefevre Park / Nantu Wama (Park 6) is a broad Adelaide Park Lands space on Lefevre Terrace in North Adelaide, suited to a relaxed visit, outdoor play or a casual picnic. It is open 24 hours and combines open sporting areas with facilities for different kinds of visitors, including picnic tables, BBQ facilities, public toilets, tennis courts and netball courts.

The park’s most distinctive feature is Glover playground, known informally as “Helicopter Park” for its much-loved play helicopter. Nearby, a horse field gives the park an unusual rural quality for an inner-city location. Visitors can watch horses on the bridle track, while the horse depasturing paddock and surrounding open space provide a setting for a quiet walk or time outdoors. The City of Adelaide describes the park as a place generations of people have visited to relax and watch the horses.
