Michael Perry Botanic Reserve

It was created in the 1970s after the subdivision of the historic Clifton Estate, which was established in the 1850s by George Sismey, an early investor in South Australia’s mining and quarry industries. The reserve takes its name from Michael Perry, who served as a councillor, alderman and mayor between 1958 and 1983. Located at 6 Kurrajong Avenue, it offers an accessible way to experience part of Burnside’s heritage while following the Second Creek trail.
