Marshmallow Playground

Marshmallow Playground, also known as Marshmallow Park Playspace, is a children’s play area in Park 19 of Adelaide’s South Park Lands. It is located just off Glen Osmond Road and is about a 12-minute walk from the South Terrace tram stop, making it accessible for a city outing without needing to stay in the CBD itself.

The playspace combines water play with a wooden climbing frame, slide, swings, sandpit and other play features. It is fully fenced, with picnic tables, BBQ facilities and public toilets available for visiting families. The wider area also includes a basketball ring, tennis courts and a dog on-leash area, giving groups a few ways to extend their visit beyond the main playground.

Marshmallow sits within the Pityarilla Activity Hub, alongside the nature play at Oxbow Playspace and a renewed creek bed with rocks to explore. That makes it suitable for families looking to move between different outdoor play environments, rather than staying in one compact area. The fully fenced layout and mix of active and imaginative play features make it a practical choice for a daytime visit with children, while the surrounding Park Lands provide space for a longer picnic or walk.
