Patritti offers a chance to experience a working South Australian winery without leaving suburban Adelaide. The family-owned winery and cellar door is on Clacton Road in Dover Gardens, less than ten minutes from Brighton and Glenelg and around twenty minutes from the CBD. With a century of winemaking history and more than 50,000 visitors each year, it combines wine production, tastings, retail and events in one location.

The cellar door stocks wines made onsite, including table wines, fortified wines and alcohol-removed wines, as well as non-alcoholic juices. Its ranges cover several styles and sources: the Urban Vineyard Collection draws from three historic vineyards in the City of Marion, while the Merchant Series uses fruit from McLaren Vale and the Adelaide Hills. There are also premium Family wines, alternative and limited releases, the more relaxed Lavoro range, and fortified wines aged for at least fifteen years before release. The juice range is made from South Australian fruit and contains no added sugar, artificial colours or artificial flavours.

For a closer look at the wines, Patritti runs structured, sit-down tasting flights in Cellar II, set among its historic vats. Tastings are available for up to eight people, with larger group sessions for six to twenty people offered at 10am and 11am by advance booking. Wine can also be enjoyed by the glass or bottle in the grounds, with in-house food available daily from 11am to 4.30pm. The venue includes covered areas in the Barrel Warehouse, Marquee and Cellar II, alongside outdoor space, giving visitors options across different weather and event settings.

Patritti is also geared towards relaxed social visits. Friday’s After Work Wine Down runs from 4pm to 7pm at Cellar II, with Lavoro wine, beer and cider, local food trucks and live music; the regular menu continues until 9pm. Weekend events also feature food trucks and live music. The venue suits visitors wanting a tasting, groups arranging a booked experience, or locals looking for an after-work gathering. Onsite parking is available, including at the rear for tastings and events, and advance reservations are recommended for wine experiences.
